Headphones

G'day fellas,
I was just wanting to ask all of the audio enthusiasts out there what headphones they suggest are great.
At the moment im currently looking at:
Sony MDRV700DJ
Sennheiser HD590 v1

Anything else suggested, along with any reviews woukd be great.

So far i have been told that the sennheiser are far better, yet ive also been told that Koss perform quite well.

Any first hand opinions are greatly needed :D

Have a look at the Grado SR60's and the SR80's both are very nice, worth a look.

Thanks a bunch champ, im interested in testing them out, where abouts could i get a hold of them in the sydney area ?

I am not in Sydney, but i suspect if try a true specialist hifi store, you should be able to find them. Not a store like retravision ect. Place where they stock highend stuff like marants rotel amps and dvds you should find them

I'd say the Sennheiser would be the better of the two you listed but i'd say that you should go try them out in a decent hi-fi store (hint: take a cd of the type of music you listen to) and get them plugged into a decent amp/cd player if you can so that you can compare them to other headphones like the Grados and The Philips ~$199 ones (forget the number, P860 or something)
