View Full Version : Office XP SP2 can't be installed

When I was installing SP2 on my computer, it says that I need to insert the Office XP cd rom. However, a friend of mine install Office XP for me, and I don't have the cd. Is there anyway to get around with it?

How to activate Office XP SP2:
Step 1
Click Start/Run... and type the command: regedit
Step 2
Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\ Registration\{????????-????-????-????-????????????}
The {????????-????-????-????-????????????} refers to the product code.
Right click on DigitalproductID and delete.
Right click on ProductID and delete.
Close registry.
Step 3
Open any Office application and enter the serial number.
Office XP SP2 is now activated.
