now i have ordered everything and have placed everything inside. when i turn on the computer it starts but then powers down. i'm guessing that the power supply isnt enough for everything. can anyone confirm this?

    i have:
    kt4 ultra msi motherboard
geforce 4 mx 460 video card
    1 256mb kingston 333mhz pc2700
    ethernet card
    athlon xp 1900+
    cpu fan
    2 case fans
    60gb HD
    1 dvd rom drive
    1 40x burner
all on a 300 watt power supply

dont know if u need to know any other specifics

Though the 300w PSU is a bit on the low side, it should still manage to get you booted up and running if it is a decent quality one.

If you're getting about 1-2 seconds and then it kicks off before getting you to the POST screen, then you likely have a grounding problem between the motherboard and the standoffs that connect it to the case. I generally like to use small fiber grommets between these items and it works pretty well. Of course, you might have some luck with just removing the mainboard from the case and reinstalling it. It doesn't take much to keep you from booting.

    Good luck. :)
