Can a motherboard which support 4x like the Gigabyte 8PE667 or Asus P4PE support a card like Ti4200 8x ??

mebbe... flash the bios.. and see if there are any new features.
If not.. Well hey4x isn't bad at all.. I'm using a gf4mx440 at 2x and it's decent.

Unless I've been seriously mis-informed - A Ti4200 8X should be backwards compatible with 4X AGP slots - no bios flash required

ohh...
ic..
Thanks people!
So what do u guys think?
is it worth getting the FSB down to 533 fsb from 667 and getting the memory down to a pc2100 from a 2700....... just for the 8x?
the mobo's i'm comparing are -
Gigayte 8PE667 Ultra to a Gigabyte 8INXP....

it is backward compatible.. I was jsut saying if you REALLY want 8x then try a flash If the motherboard wasn't designed for 8X then no BIOS flash in the world will get it to run at that speed. You could try rebuilding the AGP bus if ya like though. :devil win
