Ya system fan is usually the case fan, but sometimes the northbridge fan if fitted, and if it's just one of the low cfm output jobs then ya'll have to change the alarm settin' for it (1200rpm most likely will do) but if not the bearing/s maybe on the way out and needs either replacin' or servicin'. ;)

Locate the fan in question and if it's a case fan and its powered off the motherboard then it may not be getting enough power (fans should never be powered off the mobo, only monitored by it and powered by the PSU directly). ;)
