Help please!!! w/ radeon 7500

Hey, whenever I try to play UT2003 it tells me to enable direct 3D. When I go to dxdiag and try to enable it, it tells me it is not available. So I go to my radeons control panel and go the the direct 3D tab, everything seems to be in working order there, yet the game still says it is disables, can anyone help me?
