roger wilco and sb live platinum 5.1

Im trying to get rw to work with above components on win xp

I use the live drive on front of my pc

the headphones work fine

but i cannot get the mike to work when its plugged into the front mike 2 slot

iIwas using the win xp drivers for sb

however im now using the drivers for the sound blaster live from creative

any one know what im doing wrong
