me or power supply

i was working on my computer, and i think i shut down the computer 8 times in an 1 hr pierod. after i tried to open my computer, nothing went on. THen, i smelled smoke!!. the 400 w powersupply is only 1 day old!!. is it my problem> ? or the power supply is screwed up???? should i send it back to my dealer?

Please use the right thread, (Incompatibilities and Issues) when posting about problems.

Anyway, unplug your power supply and DON'T try it again cause you might damage your mobo or cpu. :(

i am scaried now,,i unplug my psu,and installed a old 300w one,,now i cant even open it!!!!!!!!! help!!! i am really scaried(i am using my file server right now

Take the whole thing back to the dealer as it sounds as if more was damaged and if that's so then a warranty claim is necessary. ;)

u didnt slip with the screwdriver somewhere? are u certain the smoke came from the PSU or is that just where it was ventilated out?
