Im planning to paint my case some time in the next few weeks, I was wondering if anyone had advice on what kind of paint I should use and a link to a guide would be nice;).

u mean spray painting right??
there ar tons of sites about spray painting ur computer.. go to www.overclockersonline.com then go to there HWFAQ part,and find the list about painting.
metrials are ok,,around 20 bucks heres what u need for a basic case painting
600, 1500 grit sand paper (u can get more types if u want),o and get a sanding block
get spray paint with a light gloze on them, i find it easier to wet sand it
if u want a real good mirror finish,use car polish and do mutiply layers of it after 5 or more layers of paint.
spray painting a case takes times,so, dont try to rush
