computer and he said he has had no problems...
i have had my RAM check 2 times by a friend and a friend with the same motherboard and no problems..

Special Note.(For WinFast VGA AGP users only)

I wouldn't load any drivers after the XP install until all the updated VIA drivers were loaded first and then load the video drivers followed by any others. Also check ya IRQ's for anything sharin' with the video card. ;)

What are your bios settings that pertain to video? What kind of temps do you read in the rig?

Disable ya AGP Fastwrites and reduce ya AGP aperture size down to 128MB then see if that improves things.

fast writes does funny things to your comp:D

the lastest generation of ATi cards seem to tolerate fast writes fairly well - I'm not sure how much it actually inpacts performance though

I've never had any luck with fast writes w/nvidia cards

i have had no luck yet...
i have updated my bios
disabled fast write
and set my aperture size down to 128MB;(

try the 43.00's or the 42.68's from guru3d.com, both worked very well for me
