    I change the x setting it changes in the bios but shows no change @ bootup .. is it possible for Amd to lock out the speed of a Cpu ? I am runnin a Athlon Tbird 1 gig Socket a in a Epox 8KTA3pro .. My buddy has the same board and has no prob getting it to do so .. .. oh yeah but get this If I set it to 9x it wont boot ( i know why it wont ) but why does no other setting have any affect at all and this one causes it to not boot at all ... LMAO I am soo pissed can someone please help me .. Ty

    It's very possible that your CPU needs to be unlocked 1st by connecting the L1 bridges on it. ;)

      www.plycon.com sell the unlocking kit thats pretty easy to use

              just make sure it's a very fine point pencil... and don't join something that isn't meant to be joined...
