Help, my 17" monitor i fear is on the edge of dieing, it has started to make a high pitch ringing sound, so i have switch back to my 15" HP, if this is fixable can somebody please tell me how, i don't wan't to shell out $250 - $300 for a new one. :cry:

i dont think there is any thing that u can do your self to fix this unless you know how to fix tv's or what ever but then you would not be asking here... best i can suggest is take it to a local repair shop if the warrantly is gone and just ask if they can give u a free quote or better yet call them before you go.

I have used a Panasonic Panasync 15" monitor that rings whenerver its in sleep mode, yet it still owrks like a charm, made in 1989 and works with 64mb graphics
