Fixing Outlook, need help

i've got a 2 comp. XP pro network and Outlook works fine with the host/server comp. but my with my client comp. it will not connect to the mail server.

i've got no idea on how to fix this...........

are you running an exchange server or what???

can the client computer see the host computer at all? (shared drives/can you ping it etc....)

yep, share files and printers work, as do internet.

I think this might help you.

I bet your trying to use the same settings as your host machine for your POP3 and SMTP settings something like.

POP3: pop-server
SMTP: mail-server

Now to get this to work on client machine you should add your isp address to the end of both.
Say your isp is yahoo.com you would want something like this

POP3: pop-server.yahoo.com
SMTP: mail-server.yahoo.com

If this fails i cant see what it is, as you said you have everything else working.
