Removing Bootloader from dual boot

hey guys just curious about this:

i dual boot XP and Mandrake, how can i remove the bootloader grub or lilo when i unistall the mandrake and just running xp alone? is it possible?

i delete the mandrake partition throught xp's administrative tool, but once i reboot i get the bootloader option and cant get into XP anymore!

also on the bootloader option i get choices to boot from;

windows, linux, failsafe, nt, floppy~ is windows and linux all i need and dump the rest?
