I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but since the answer to my query is nowhere else to be found I thought maybe it would be ok to ask here. I saw a rumor while doing a Google search for reviews of the new Z87 OC Formula MB that ASRock is providing a 5 year warranty for this board. Is this information accurate?

If it is, is it also true of boards sold in Canada?

Thanks for your help in clarifying this for me.

ASRock > Z87 OC Formula says that it has a 5 year warranty.
Download the mobo user manual from their website and confirm that it also states that the warranty is for five years.
In a recent TweakTown review, they were very impressed with the OC Formula motherboard ASRock Z87 OC FORMULA (Intel Z87) Motherboard Review

HardOCP motherboard reviews for most ASRock z77 motherboards last year mentioned many issues but they really liked the Ivy Bridge OC Formula motherboard and gave it their Silver award.

About that review, I was wondering Sean if you could comment on the results of the SSD read test on the ASRock board in this review ASRock Z87 OC FORMULA (Intel Z87) Motherboard Review - SSD Benchmarks :: TweakTown. This is roughly 20% slower than all the other boards reviewed and well below the rating for the Corsair Force GT Series SSD used in the test. Why is it soooo much slower.

Actually it seems there is a problem with the manual on ASRock's website. Every time I try to download it the download fails saying that "the source file could not be read" I tried 7 times from 2 different computers with the same result.
    ???????
    Who knows.

I opened the Z87 OC Forumula/AC mobo user manual in a Firefox tab when I clicked on the USA link.
There is no mention of the warranty in the user manual.
The last page in the manual has USA contact information:
    ASRock America, Inc.
    13848 Magnolia Ave, Chino, CA91710
    U.S.A.
    Phone: +1-909-590-8308
    Fax: +1-909-590-1026

I saved a copy of the the user manual in my Dropbox public folder if you want to download it:

You're wasting your time asking Sean anything Dean he doesn't actually come to this site. I know it says that he is the ASRock rep but he doesn't respond to people's questions. I asked him a question over a week ago and haven't heard a thing from him.

A couple of things you could try are actually going to ASRock's website since you have just bought your product from them they should be more than happy to help you get it working optimally. The other thing I would definitely do is get clever with Google. If you are having issues chances are more than likely that someone else has had your problem before and Google is great for indexing EVERYTHING so it can point you in the right direction.

Just got an ASRock z87 Extreme9---could you please post the functions and some strategies for using the A-Tuning utility that is included with the new z87 boards. I'm at 4700 for a 4779k with no adjustments and feel that once the functions are better defined for your tuning utility I should be able to get a few more 100mhz--thanks for any help
