Default Sound issues on ION 330HT-BD

    Hopefully someone can help me

I have an ION 330HT-BD and have had it for some time now and I use it for Win7 media center.
    ASRock > Products > ION 330HT-BD

When the pc goes into power save after some time and I power on the pc again I have no sound. Nothing at all. Not in media center, not i OS. Only way to get sound again is to reboot pc.

I have tried to update BIOS and sound driver, didn't help.
    I have tried windows7 32bit and 64bit, didn't help.
The Event log dont tell me anything ?.
I have looked around on the net, but haven't found anything usefull, to solve my sound issues.

Only way I can keep the sound is to disable power save, but then i have to hear the pc's disc spin up and the constant sound from the cooler and that's not cool since it's placed in my bedroom

Please help me, before I smash it into the floor

Any chance of getting audio over HDMI with ubuntu 10.10 ?

Is this a problem with the nvidea ion drivers, ubuntu or do i need to download drivers from realtech too ?
