    Default N68c-SUCC

    Hey all,
I got a new computer setup today in work, I cant seem to get the sound working...now I have tried all the usual methods of installing drivers etc, I get the "no mixers error" etc, is there something that the guy has not enabled to get the sound going?

this motherboard does have the capablitiy to process sound?

    cheers in advance

    Pipe

On Asrock's website the audio is described as 5.1 CH HD Audio (VIAŽ VT1705 Audio Codec)
you may go for VIA website to find your driver:
VIA Drivers Download - VIA Technologies, Inc.

I Jusy bought this MB also. I would like to point something out. You can't use DDR3 with a AM2 / AM2+ CPU.

Can you use memory not on the QVL? I'm new to using DDR 2/3 ram. Back in the days of EDO and DDR. Except for Gigabyte you could buy whatever ram you wanted as long as it was non-ecc or ecc. I dont think A MB maker would invest the time to try EVERY DIMM out there. But what are the odd's that say Super Talent won't work in this board?

From the specs of Asrock's website:
"DDR3 memory is only supported by installing AM3 cpu."
As I know so far it will be better to follow Asrock's Ram recommendations to prevent of some trouble with non tested Ram:
