Sean, I appreciate your help but that link has gotten me nowhere. (BTW, what follows is not directed at you.)

On 9/29 I submitted one of those with a general help question and got nothing back except the autoreply. It has been a month and a half. . . The autoreply says someone will contact me shortly. Didn't happen and I check my spam/junk folder.

Then I submitted this specific issue to that link on 11/7. Nothing back but an autoreply and it is day 16. For this specific reason I am trying the forums. I don't see why I should have to submit another support request form for the same reason.

If you have the ability to search the support system, I am private messaging you my email address that is on each support request. (EDIT: Seems you have PM's disabled. You will find it in in your public messages.)

Based on my initial post in this thread with my MB model could you directly point me to the latest Marvell driver here or via forum private message?

So with all due respect I shouldn't need to submit another ticket. Rather it would be in my best interest to begin expressing my displeasure in more visible places. Like our facebook pages (and other social networking sites) and posting my feedback on Newegg where I got the MB, etc. Again this is not directed at anyone at ASrock in particular. Still, my experience with your official avenue for support gets worse every day I'm ignored. One and a half months and counting from the first one.

EDIT: I now remember that the SATA2 driver (iata_cd.exe) neve r installed. How do I do it? It says "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit." Does this have anything to do with raid, because I wasn't going to be using HD's in raid so I didn't input the raid drivers during install. However AHCI is enabled on windows by an after the fact Windows registry change.

OK, I've now remedied the lack of the Intel storage manager and installed the SATA2 software, also set SATA to RAID in the BIOS. I didn't do anything other than that. So if there is a step I've missed please tell me.

At first it seems to work because the drive is consistently detected and shows the files within. HOWEVER, when I try to transfer files or benchmark the drive it causes Windows 7 to freeze. The only thing I can do is turn off the eSATA drive so Windows can start working again, which is bad. This morning Windows prompted me to run checkdisk on it as a result of 5 or so eSATA Off's, again it can hurt the drive.

So what do I do now?

I assume you mean 1407 and not 1047 as that is the only similar one I can find. Is it just me or is the site supposed to be in French? I had hoped to forget that part of my academics!
