    Default Help : Hot-Plug on 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0

    Hello,

I am quite new on this forum, here is my problem.

Few months ago I upgraded my PC (Windows XP SP3) by changing the Motherboard. I chose the 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0, that was the more compatible with all my stuff (PCI, IDE, SATA, Parallel en serial port.
The disks I use are 320 GB SATA II, 250GB SATA I ,400GB IDE.
I was (and am) happy with, good stability.
I recently added a Rack for removable bare 3.5 SATA HDD (Thermaltake Max4 - Rack). I also added a small PCI SATA to connect my 250 GB SATA and free the second motherboard SATA II connector.
The SATA Rack is connected to this second SATA II connector of the motherboard. I want to hot plug / unplug the drive to put in. (of course!)

I tried several solutions, with various drivers, but I can't get Windows XP working in hot plug mode. The removable disk is recognised only if it is in the rack when I boot the PC.

In the BIOS (P2.2), There is only RAID and non-RAID option for the SATA. Nothing about AHCI or so for hot plug.

    What to do ?

Thank you in advance for any help.
    Regards
