    Exclamation iX38 and asrock sata 6Gbps @ pci-e 1.0

    Hello

I have abit IX38 QuadGT which supports pci-e 2.0 on the two blue interfaces. My problem is that the Asrock sata3 card only runs in 2.5Gbps mode (not 5Gbps as it should). This means that while the card is pci-e x1 card the only lane that is in use runs half the speed and thus the card is useless. Have anyone run in to similar situation, what can I do to fix this?

Shouldn't the x16 slot be able to run as 2.0 even with a card that uses only one lane?

Other users of iX38 chipsets have had issues with their gfx cards due to powersave functions implemented on those cards, could this be related?

If this card is doomed, would Asus U3S6 sata3&usb3 pci-e x4 card function on my board ?

I really need sata3 for my corsair performance 3 series ssd drive.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thank you
