    Default H67M - No Power

I have just put together an H67M based system for a friend and get no power (no fans spinning / no beep).

I have tried hooking the PSU ATX and 12v up to another system and get the LED on and fans spinning and beeps. I have also tried another working PSU into the new system with no luck as well as using the pwr / reset switches from another case but still no joy.

I have also tried reseating the CPU and ram and tried powering up with just one stick of ram (tried both slots).

    Any suggestions?

EDIT - Ok just tried with the mobo out of the case and it powers on must have a short on the mobo with the risers. Can you get plastic risers or should i use washers??

Are you sure that there are no extra metal risers (standoffs) in your computer case?
Do all the risers line up with the mobo mounting holes?
What brand/model is your computer case and psu?
You might want to test with the mobo in your case but without the rear panel i/o shield installed.

***EDIT*** It's possible that one of the unused psu cables was shorting out the psu.
I always assemble and test a system with the motherboard resting on a cardboard box beside the computer case.
I don't install the assembled motherboard in the case or on a removable mobo tray until everything checks out okie-dokie.
