    Default Please Help! K7S41GX

    I have K7S41GX motherboard.
I am trying to install the Win OS in a SATA HDD with Conceptronic PCI card (CSATA2P).
Pressing the F6 and loading the drivers that comes with Concenptronics CD can start to install windowns normally.
My problem is after the restart. The motherboard can not detect the HDD.
Can someone help me? Do I have to use other drivers?

    Hi,

If you would want to boot from the PCI Sata Hard Drive.
Please make sure that the PCI SATA hard drive is the first boot device in your motherboard Bios.

If that isnt the problem a driver update might work.
I just checked the Conceptronic site and the newest driver I found for a PCI Sata card was dated 2007.

You might be able to find a newer driver for the controller chip that is on your PCI Sata card. I couldnt find any info. stating what controller chip is used on your card. What I was able to see was a picture of a PCI Sata with a VIA controller chip on it.

The controller chip is normally the biggest chip on the card. Please check what brand and model it is. When you find its exact model you can hopefully find a newer driver by visiting VIA website.

I hope my solution helps you out. Please keep me updated.
