    Let's try this.

    1.Enter your bios.
    2. Go to exit
    3. At the bottom select "Load Performance Setup AHCI Mode"
    4. Save and exit

    If the above doesnt work
Try Load Performance Setup Default (IDE/SATA)
    and than save and exit.

Just to troubleshoot, one more time.

Remove the SSD from your pc. Connect your other SATA drive. Clear the CMOS and see if it starts up fine.

Also, have you updated your OCZ Vertex to its newest firmware?

Its newest firmware fixes tons of stuff

You can download the newest firmware here:

This morning, when I tried starting my computer, it said: CMOS wrong.
Or something along that line. So I clear the CMOS and on the next boot it goes into Windows! :D
However, now I'm afraid to turn the computer off :P
How should I install my SSD now?

OK, now it's back to giving me the same problems.
Maybe someone from ASRock can help me?

    Dear tboerdijk,

Please kindly refer to below suggestions for testing.
    1. Load BIOS default settings to try.
    2. Reinstall your memory, HDD and SSD to try.
    3. Remove other devices and only leave the necessary device of your computer for testing. (CPU, a stick memory, 1HDD and 1 CDROM)
    4. Install your SSD to other SATA ports to try.
    5. If possible, please kindly install another SATA HDD or SSD to check the symptom still occur.

If the symptom still occur, please kindly tell me this issue in detail.
    a. If you only install the SATA HDD, can system always work without any problem?
    b. Does the debug code show "78" when the symptom occur? Could you enter to BIOS?

    Thanks!

    Have a nice day

    Hey Emily,

Thank you for your response. Right now I'm trying the things you suggested, but no success so far.
With only my SATA HDD, the system still gives problems.
The debug code is indeed 78. I can enter the BIOS, although it takes a very long time.

I have tried the things you suggested, but it didn't solve the problem.
When I try to enter the BIOS, the screen says: Entering SETUP, and lists my CPU, RAM and HDD. It stays like that for a few minutes before it enters the BIOS.
    The 78 error also remains.

The day before yesterday, everything worked fine.

    Dear tboerdijk,

Please kindly remove your all HDD and then try again to check whether the symptom still occur.
Or only install the SSD to check the symptom still occur.

If you only install the SATA HDD, can system always work without any problem?

Please kindly provide above information for us.
    Thanks!

    Have a nice day
