Yeah you should definetely try testing those video cards in a separate system. I had the same problem and ended up having to replace the video card to get my stuff to work.

    Hi!

I have this problem and I am so worried!

can you clarify your solution? what do you mean by changing of your VGA port? did you mean you switch from the Motherboard's VGA to the graphic card's VGA??

I received an A3 code on my new build as well.

I put in my mobo, CPU, RAM, PS, video card, and plugged in almost all of the head connections (didn't do front audio header). I didn't want to install anything else until I ensured that the bare basics were up and running.

So I hooked my video card up to my monitor (via HDMI) and got to the startup screen. Since I didn't have a keyboard set up, I didn't go any further, and powered down.

I did notice I was getting the A3 "IDE-enable" issue. Before I start taking parts back out to try and debug, I am wondering if this code is likely due to the fact that I have no drives hooked up yet?

    Thanks!

Well, it gets to the start-up screen, so I am getting video sent to the monitor. My thought is that if there was a problem with the video card, I wouldn't get anything on the screen at all. If I'm correct in my assumption, then I wonder what the A3 is for. Given that the code is "IDE enabled," I just guessed it had something to do with the drives or lack thereof.

Well, I added my drives this morning. I get the ASRock splash screen for a few seconds, then it bumps me to this:

    <iframe title ="Preview" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0" width="320px" height="239px" style="padding:0;background-color:#fcfcfc;" src="https://skydrive.live.com/embed?cid=D57FA2ACDC3D51CB&resid=D57FA2ACDC3D51CB% 21133&authkey=AImW67GjKs2PNI0"></iframe>

It sees my CPU, RAM, SSD and HDD. I do not see my ODD yet, which bugs me, since I need it to load Win7.
