Default Asrock P67 Extreme6 rev.B3: USB Keyboard bios problem

    Hi.
    I've a Asrock P67 Extreme6 rev.B3 motherboard, and a Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000 (usb cable).

The keyboard works well, except at the boot of my computer. When I turn on my pc, keyboard leds are off when the bootscreen appears, and they switch on only when my operating system starts.
In other words, my keyboard remain switched off during the boot, so I can't access to BIOS and so on.

There's something that I can do? keyboard works well when I use it, and it's not a driver problem because I've it before the OS loading.

    Maybe this will help:

Thanks. I'll try the update later when I'll return home. I'll let you know.

EDIT - I can't do it, because I can't access to BIOS with my keyboard to do the update... Maybe I'll see to have another keyboard if possible.

    Hi,

By default the USB 3 ports will not work at boot. Make sure you are using the grey/black/red ports at the back of the system.

To enable the use of the USB 3 ports at boot, you must enable the legacy options in the UEFI Setup (BIOS).

I personally find it easier just to use the USB2 ports since even the most advanced keyboards only need USB1.1. Some keyboards that have built in hubs may use USB2.
