    Default AsRock P67 Extreme 4 & G.Skill 2133Mhz PC17000 Settings?

    I have a P67 Extreme 4, 2600k, and the following G.Skill memory:

    System Desktop
    System Type DDR3
    M/B Chipset
    Intel Z68
    Intel P67
    CAS Latency 9-11-9-28-2N
    Capacity
    8GB (4GB x2)
    Speed DDR3-2133 (PC3 17000)
    Test Voltage 1.65 Volts
    Height 40 mm / 1.58 inch
    Registered/Unbuffered Unbuffered
    Error Checking Non-ECC
    Type 240-pin DIMM
    Warranty Lifetime
I am running the memory at the 2133Mhz speed using the XMP profile setting. However, I'm using IntelBurnTest and Prime95 to test system stability. Both of them fail. I have however tweaked voltages for the VTT, and I have gotten the Prime95 to the point it has only 1 or 2 errors (before tweaking the voltages, it wouldn't run 10 seconds).

My question, is what are you other Extreme 4 owners that have 2133Mhz memory doing to make it run at that speed?

On Sandy Bridge, what are the safe voltages for the settings?

    DRAM is at 1.65V
I tried up to about 1.233V on the VTT
I don't want to screw any hardware up.

I wouldn't go further than 1,2V on VTT.
Do you OC your CPU as well?

I do not currently overclock my CPU. I am just hoping to get this memory to the speed I paid for. I notice no adverse effects actually using the system, but I would like to see Prime95 work.

Keep in mind that IMC is inside the CPU and some of them can handle high speed memory modules and some of them can't.
Memory Speed an timmings won't give you any significant boost in a real world performance.

You paid for 2133MHz but Sandy Bridge architecture is running fine with mainstream 1600MHz CL9.

Well I checked AsRock's and G.Skill's website before purchasing this memory. Considering that the memory claims it is for P67, I fully expect/ed it to work. G.Skill hinted that I should take the VTT a bit higher. What should I do regarding the entire situation?

Try to enable Internal PLL Overvoltage and see if it helped.

I will try this during lunch. I am also wondering if the VCCSA should be just a bit higher?

It has no influence on memory or CPU stability even after OC. Leave it on auto.

Well, I turned on PLL overvoltage, set the VTT to 1.19*, and then tried IntelBurnTest. First I tried a lot of little tests, 500 of them 8 thread. Then I tried 2 of the "extreme" 8 thread. Both of these results came back the same. This is the first time I have accomplished this. Then I ran more small tests, 1 failed. However, right before I came back to work I started the "extreme" test again. When I get home I will post the 570 results.

I feel I am so close to getting the results I want. It seems that setting indeed needed to be enabled. Perhaps I should bump my VTT up to a hair over 1.2V? Then again, what am I really establishing here to get it "correct"?

So...I can get IntelBurnTest to match 2-3 "calculations" on the highest extremity. I couldn't get 2 to match before I enabled the PLL Overclock. My VTT Voltage is just a hair over 1.2V. Any more advice?
