    Hi,
I'm also having freezes followed by bsod with the clock interupt error message bccode 101 and thought i'd add my name to the ever increasing list.
I can't trigger the fault by running stress tests and temperature doesn't seem to be a factor,it also hasn't happened when the pc is idle(yet).
So far it's blue screened 4x web surfing(firefox) 1x running malwarebytes, not many times compared to some people but i've only had the pc running(new build) for 6 days.
The pc blue screened last night,i'd set the vcore offset to 0.06v,i've put this back to auto and am now trying the igpu voltage at +50mv,fingers crossed.
I'll be keeping an eye on this forum to see if there is a definitive answer to solve the problem but i've got a horrible feeling i'm going to be messing around with voltage settings for the next few weeks.

I have now given up with the idea of running the igpu and have had to use a discrete video card to cure this problem on my Gen3 board.
The whole idea of buying a z68 motherboard was to use the igpu as i didnt game the igpu would do me and also it would save on electric costs but Asrock havent been able to cure this problem and its looks now like they turned there back on customers which is a shame as it makes my asrock buying days a thing of the past.
I wonder why Asus dont have this problem with there z68 boards and Asrock do the Asus boards run a very low vcore on idle with no bsod at all but asrock boards just restart so makes you wonder what Asrock have done wrong in there design.

    Hi,
Thanks for the info,i guess i'll be buying a graphics card if i get another bsod if you haven't had any errors since installing yours.
In hindsight i wish i'd saved some money and bought a p67 board and put that saved money towards the cost of a graphics card,oh well.
As a sidenote when i first assembled this pc the ssd drive failed(ocz vertex3),i bought the drive from ebay, new still shrink wrapped.Even though ocz exclude ebay on their warranty page, they replaced the drive and i received it within a week from taiwan, that's what i call CUSTOMER SERVICE and i'll be using them again because of it.
Anyway if you can confirm that a discrete graphics card solves the problem then that's what i'll do.
    cheers

I can confirm on my extreme 4 Gen3 with discrete graphics card with a 4.6 auto overclock it does not restart had it running all last night from about 8pm until about 6pm today with no problems.

Just signed up to add my name to the list. 2600k on a 1st gen Extreme4. I am also running the on board graphics, as I don't game. Freezes happen under very little load. I found this thread as I was testing the RAM; will let it run for a couple more hours (so far so good) then go set vCore to 1.190.

Other than that, what else? I refuse not to use the on board graphics as it's one of the reasons I chose this board.

Set it already to 1.190. I get at least a freeze a day so should know it worked soon enough.

I've been running for a couple of days now, with the memory profile set to "XMP 1.2: profile 1" (as detailed here) and no stalls yet.

    Default The only(?) solution

Only Solution to fix this problem is changing motherboards

    Hey Everyone
I had posted back on page 16, stating that I will return my asrock z68 pro 3 (the problem does NOT ONLY relate to extreme 4 boards!!)

took a while, but 3 days ago i received my GA z68ap d3 board....and so far I had 0 bluescreens with everything other constellation being unchanged (ultimate proof for crappy board).

did testing with low load and high load, with different voltages and even undervolting memory.

just wanted to let you guys know. I will continue to monitor this thread out of curiosity,
if you have questions regarding voltages etc. just go ahead and ask

    good luck my friends

adrianw,if its running smooth using an xmp profile it pointed to a memory setting/voltage,which for non xmp supported memory would mean you have to manually set dram bus voltage according to whats printed on the ram, either 1.5v or 1.65v,next would be to manually set a qpi/vtt voltage around 1.16-1.2v,leave all other settings on auto
