Default ASROCK Z68 professional Gen3 USB problem

    Greeting,

I'm have a new fatality Pro gen3. I've had it set up about 2 days.
    Setup:
    Z68 Fatality pro Gen3
    2600K
    4x4G Gskill sniper 1866 9-10-9-28
    2 x 8800gts 512
hitachi 2Gig with crucial m4 64 as caching
    logitech 610 wireless mouse.

Periodically my wireless USB mouse starts to lag, often seconds of lag. Sometimes it becomes completely unresponsive. Switching to a new USB port may or may not help. Even if it helps it can start lagging again after a time. I've primarily been putting the mouse receiver in the USB port 2 above the the P/S2 keyboard port.

I checked CPU, ram and Disk activity during lag events and none show anything unusual.
Wireless USB may or maynot be active during an event. DPC Latency checker shows very low latencies 150 -200 microsecs.
This happened both with and without a plug in video card and with or without additional usb devices (except a keyboard).
I'm using the L1.12 bios atm but it occurred with the shipped bios also.

    Anyone else see anything similar?

Other than this problem the board seems to be working OK. Two days isn't really enough time to check thoroughly. I've tried basic overclock up to 4400 but only for a short test as I've not received my H2O cooling components yet and I'm still on the stock CPU cooler.

    thanks
    Auto

Background activity can trigger it; at least a virus scan seemed to cause lag. Odd thing was after virus scan completed the lag continued. Moving the receiver to a new port after the scan seemed to help. I don't recall having anything like this with previous system using the same mouse, case, OS and location. I tried every USB port on the board haven't noticed any real difference. USB driver install seems fine. you'd think with quad core s is could handle more than one thing at a time.

In that case, your whole system freezes intermittently not only the mouse; Then, any other hardware/driver may be the cause of problem. Have you checked when your mouse stops responding, the keyboard works or not?

I can't recall exactly regarding the keyboard. There have been 1 or 2 instances when input to whole system appears to stop but usually the only visible issue is the mouse. I'll try to pull up a test window and input from keyboard next time it happens. It acts to me like a resource issue but CPU and memory usage is very low.

I do have a - "failed to load : ASRHidFilter" message in the system log which sounds like it could contribute to the problem.
