2 more issues that we are experiencing:

    1) With certain USB deviced connected to the PC, the PC will not boot when legacy devices is enabled in USB BIOS settings. Hanging with B4 code on the screen. Example device in my case is an HTC Desire Z phone. At the 'hanging stage', PC continues to boot if the device is unplugged.

    2) PC will not boot when an external drive is connected to the e-sata port (shared sata port empty)

Hope you guys can come up with a fix for these issues!

    Dear Pablos,

We did the test with HTC sensation and eSATA BOX, but we cannot see the symptom.

Please kindly load BIOS default settings to try again.

Could you tell us the model name and picture of eSATA device?

    Thanks!

Thanks for looking into this Emily. The device I have connected via e-sata is an Akasa DuoDock AK-IC008 which was giving me startup issues but I think the 1.21 firmware took care of it because the pc does now boot up when it is connected. It was happening when any hard drive was in the dock.

Regarding the connected phone and legacy usb enabled issue, I have done some further testing and I get the B4 startup hang only if the phone is plugged into any of the blue USB3.0 ports (rear of case or my front bay USB3.0 ports which are connected to the Extreme7's USB3.0 header). If the phone is plugged into a USB2.0 socket, I no longer get the issue. I've not yet tested other devices containing mass storage when plugged into usb3.0 sockets but I will post back with results when I get the chance to test some.

Everything was tested before and after CMOS clears with identical results.

-edit- tested with a Corsair Flash Voyager and HP Touchpad. Don't get any problems when connecting these to the USB3.0 ports so at the moment it's only the phone causing this issue.

Did anyone get anywhere with testing their phones plugged into USB3.0 sockets and booting their PC?

    Dear Asrock TSD

Several days ago I wrote about solved problems with this motherboard, though I should say problem.
CI soundcard is working fine and I am very glad.
Koroshiya8 in post #22 reported that BIOS v1.21 include UEFI mouse fix, but not for my mouse. I have Logitech G5. Using mouse to operate with BIOS settings is not important for me, but maybe this suggest conflict between electrical signals in motherboard and other issues.

    With best regards,
    Gustav

I haven't tried 1.21 but I'll give that a go today, 1.12 solves the problem with my G400 Logitech mouse.

    Andi.

Later: no, 1.21 does not solve the problem with my Logitech G400. I have reverted to 1.12C and it's fine.
