Default Antec Lanboy Air and Extreme7 Gen3 USB 3.0 Header

    Hi,

I have a Calvary external USB 3.0 raid disk, it works fine in the rear USB 3.0 ports on the Extreme7 Gen3 motherboard, but when I took the Lanboy Air's USB 3.0 cable and plugged it into the motherboard's USB 3.0 header cable, I get nothin...

    RMA the board?

I took the lanboy out of the mix, just plugging the device into the header ports, interesting results to report:

    On the ASRock header cable,

    1. One port worked each time.
    2. The second port worked only if I pushed the device's cable partially into the socket. It was like letting the leading edge of the plug connect and it would complete the drive connection.
    3. I then plugged the lanboy's USB 3.0 cable into the port that worked all the time, but when I would plug in the device's cable into the case USB 3.0 it acted like the other port, if I let the leading edge of the plug connect it would make the drive usable.

So naturally you think the device's cable has issues right?, nope, works 100 percent on the rear motherboard USB 3.0 ports.
So you think it's the header cable?, maybe, but when the device was plugged into one port it worked 100 percent.
It's like the cable length made a difference when the lanboy's cable was in the mix.

Not enough juice to the USB 3.0 header? That's what I'm thinking.

Then I launched XFast USB, it made it even harder to find spot that would create the device connection. Carefully moving the device cable in the lanboy air case socket, eventually caused a connection to be made.

More juice Scotty! Are the di-lithium crystals dead?

    /Bump

So should I just chill for a bios update or RMA the board?
