Another bug/question concerning my new board.

Previously, in my old Cooler Master Centurion RC-534 case I had a MSI P965 Platinum motherboard. The case has front USB ports and they worked just fine with my external USB HDDs (WD/Seagate). Now, with the same case and ASRock M3A770DE motherboard, my front USB ports only work with USB thumb drives. It sure seems like there is not enough power for the external USB HDDs. Why would the MSI work and not the ASRock? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
