Default Bios cpu fan regulation!!!! Asrock g41m-s

    Hello,
Iīm having a problem with my asrock g41m-s.
When i start my computer, the cpu fan works on the maximal rpm(around 4300 rpm)!! And it doesnīt change when the O.S. (w7 32 bits is working). Thatīs why itīs too loud, and itīs absolutely impossible to work with it because of the noise.
I now i can change the rpm within the bios, but I donīt find how!!!
    Can you help me???
    Thanks

    Dear miguelrostock,

G41M-S can support 4-Pin CPU-fan (Quiet Fan function), please kindly refer to below link for user manual page 22.
    Link: http://download.asrock.com/manual/G41M-S.pdf

Please kindly check whether your CPU fan is 4-pin CPU fan or not.
If yes, please kindly refer to below link for user manual page 46 to adjust your CPU fan speed.

If any question, please kindly contact me.
    Thanks!

    Have a nice day

I would kindly add my case.
I took a AsRock G41M-GS3, to revamp a Acer Extensa 264. The FAN is always on at MAX speed.

    1) I connected the Acer fan&heat sink ("hi 3670c.001 rev a foxconn 2099") 4 wires connector, to the cpu_fan 1 connector. (The black wire is connected to 1 pin, (GND))
Noticed that the FAN is always on at MAX speed.
    2) I checked the bios setting activating the quite fan CPU. Nope.
    3) I re-flashed the bios, but no result.

What else could I test ?
The fan is working perfectly on the Acer MB...... maybe a different pin assignment ? ( the wire/pins are : 1-blk, 2red, 3-yellow, 4 blue)

From Acer support tech service, the fan seems to be
    FAN COOLER P4_SKT775 PKP367 W/I SUNON 4000RPM HI.3670C.001
    and the heat sink
    Fan Cooler LGA775 TMD06 Fan 9225 HI.10800.006

What could suggest the AsRock tech. support ?

    --- EDIT
In the bios page I can see the CPU temp (30°C) the fan speed (4200RPM), and the set point temperature (50°C).
But the fan still runs at full speed...

I noticed that setting in the bios the target speed to slow, the fan speed remains constant, but at lower level (4200->3600).
So it seems that the pwm circuit is modulating the pulse, but the duty cycle of the pwm is always constant ,and not following the cpu temperature....

I would like to SLOW down the cpu fan.
Is it possible to have a workaround, inserting a RESISTOR on the fan +12V line, to lower the cpu speed.
Which Ohm value do you suggest ?
