Exclamation Asrock TSD - Need help with strange recurring BSOD's

    Hi,

I am getting a lot of BSOD's, mostly of the type "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". They mostly occur while gaming (BF3, Skyrim) My system specs are as follows:

    Windows 7 64
Core i5 2500K, no OC, stock fan. HWMonitor readings under normal no-load condition: VCORE= 0.96V, T=39 Celcius
Asrock P67 Fatal1ty Pro - BIOS 2.0, all drivers updated from Asrock website
8Gb G.skill Ripjaws (2x4gb) placed in similar coloured slots, 1.5V
EVGA GTX 470 with latest driver (tested)
    DWA-542 Rangeboosted WiFi card (tested)
    3xHDD and 1xSSD (tested)

    • I have re-installed windows on formatted/fresh partitions
    • I have stress-tested the CPU up to 72 degrees with no stability issues
    • I have updated P67 chipset to latest version on Intel website
    • BIOS is on default settings
    • Analyzing crash dumps has lead to nothing - however one instance referred to USBPORT.SYS being a probable cause
      • I removed all USB's other than keyboard and mouse, which I plugged into standard USB2 ports. This allowed the game to run for much longer before yet another BSOD. Latest mouse software has been installed (G500 - Logitech SetPoint).

Paid a lot for this mobo...would really appreciate any help.

Thanks for the reply - I may try playing around with my DRAM voltage, although since this is a non-OC'd system, I'd rather not have to play with voltages. If the hardware is not faulty, the voltage on auto (1.50V) should be working and stable.

Keep in mind I've done a windows memsched a few times and it passed.

    Update:
    - I unplugged all USB cables other than mouse (G500) and Keyboard (das keyboard), which are plugged into USB 2.0 ports. I chose to leave the Fatal1ty mouse port and USB 3.0 ports alone.
    - I removed my Dlink DWA 542 Wireless card

NO BSOD under these conditions (had Skyrim running the whole day).

I've plugged back my USB cables and am now using USB 3.0 and Fatal1ty mouse port. Will repeat Skyrim test and report if BSOD returns. If not, I'll assume it was my network card and go buy a new one.
