We can best help if you provide a detailed hardware list in your forum signature. Posting this information in a single post is a PITA for us as we have to scroll though the thread to find this information. Many forum members are assisting in many threads and we might confuse your hardware setup with a similar setup in another thread.

What hardware are you using for connecting to the internet? Wireless? Wired? Router?
Do you other computers use the same setup?

Have you used the windows Event Viewer to see if there are any reported issues when the internet connection is dropped?

    Thanks for your input.
The problem vanished when I installed a PCI Network card. I guess it's the motherboard's onboard lan. I guess I will have to RMA again.
Or am I being anal if the problem is fixed by a twenty dollar card?
    Any input on that?
    Thanks again, everybody

Your second RMA didn't fix the problem, what makes you think that a third RMA will be better?
How much does it cost to ship your mobo to them for an RMA replacement?

Without knowing your internet hardware setup, we don't know what is causing the problem. Sometimes there are hardware incompatibilities and the problem could be with the motherboard or the other hardware. Maybe they could reimburse you for your new card, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. My advice? Don't worry, be happy. Glad to hear that your internet connection is now stable.

edit: oops, I just discovered that onboard LAN uses Broadcom, not RealTek.

When you installed the drivers, did you by any chance install XFast LAN as well? If so then you can remove that to see if it has any effect.

You can also try a newer Ethernet driver:
Broadcom.com - Ethernet NIC NetLink Driver Downloads

If your other system is using a fixed IP address and this one is using DHCP (or the exact same IP address), then it might cause some problem. Please check the properties of the Ethernet adapter on the other system to determine if it uses DHCP or has a fixed IP address.

    Hello people,
Asrock support got back to me and advised me to uninstall the lan driver and reinstall the latest driver through the Device Manager. It worked. I had been installing the driver that came with the Asrock Installation CD and then upgrading it using Driver Genius. At least, it works so far.
Thanks for your advice and support everybody. Looks like no RMA required and issue solved.
    Take Care, Gord

Have you tested your internet connection with all other networked computers turned off?
Have you tried downloading the driver from the link in post #14?

    Thanks for your reply:
I have tried with other computers off, but have only installed the latest driver off Z68 website. I will try the latest driver from the Broadcom
site tomorro morning when I'm off work. I'll let you know.
    Thanks again, Gord
