    Default ASrock Extreme 4 Gen3

    Hello,

I just built my first desktop including this motherboard.

Is there a safe way to overclock this machine?
What are usually good temps? I just want to compare my temps so I do not have to be worried

    Thank you

A web search using: ASrock Extreme 4 Gen3 overclock guide
    should help answer your question.
What is the brand and model name of your cpu cooler?

We can best help you if you add a detailed hardware list to your forum signature.
Be sure to include your bios version, motherboard version, power supply, cpu heatsink/fan setup and the model numbers of all components.
Also include a link to your ram's full specifications.

How can I check if my system is running on the right temp? Also are there any programs out there that can measure my PC performance (just want to make sure everything is running correctly)
I believe, I have the latest bios. I did the instant flash last night of 1.10.

If anybody could provide me more information about overclocking and what the best method is, I would appreciate it.

    Thank you for time.

    Kind regards

The first page of http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ity-tools.html has links to quickly download benchmark and monitoring software.

Overclocking your system requires a mix of Voodoo and Black Magic.
OK, I'm kidding, well sort of.
We can assist you with overclocking, but it will go much faster for you if read a few Z68 overclocking guides.
Take a look at some of the overclocking threads in the forum and you'll see that some of them are quite long. I don't have the time to go scrolling back through a thread just to confirm what the hardware setup is.

Many of us are assisting in many threads and some of these threads deal with similar systems. This is why I said:
We can best help you if you add a detailed hardware list to your forum signature.
Be sure to include your bios version, motherboard version, power supply, cpu heatsink/fan setup and the model numbers of all components.
Also include a link to your ram's full specifications.
This helps cut down on errors and makes it easy for us to quickly confirm your hardware.
My forum signature quickly lets viewers see what hardware I'm using.
You're free to use an obnoxious color scheme if you want to, but it isn't required.

I believe that all higher end Z68 systems have a "one button" overclock feature, read your motherboard user manual for directions.
You will also have to learn how to properly stress test your system each time you tweak your bios.
Check out the Prime95 stress testing tutorial link in my signature.

Have you performed any Prime95 (or other) stress tests to ensure that your system is stable?
If yes, which tests did you run and for how long?

Others will have to comment on your screen-shots.
I don't have first hand experience with ASRock or Z68 systems.
Good luck, I'll be lurking ;)

looks fine to me,download cpu-z and realtemp programs to monitor cpu core temps and speed,i think you have to keep coretemps below 70c on those chips? not 100%sure

    cpu-z 32bit cpuz-1.59.1-Beta.zip
    cpu-z 64bit ftp://ftp.cpuid.com/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.59-64bits-en.zip

    realtemp RealTemp_3691.zip

for qpi/vtt or vtt stay below 1.2v,to oc raise the cpu multiplier and raise memory multiplier to your rams speed 1600mhz ect,but read up on how to oc before you change anything

Does I use AS extreme tuning to overclock? I've never overclocked before. I really would appreciate some feedback on overclocking.
