This may be a Windows problem rather than anything to do with the motherboard or BIOS but any advice / help appreciated.

I have an old system based on an ALiveNF6G-VSTA motherboard. I am running Windows XP professional with 2GB RAM (soon to be upgraded to 4GB). I have a 320GB Samsung SATA drive.

My system doesn't seem that fast. I have a "Tuneup" programme installed that following diagnosis of my system gives me the message

" The following devices support DMA mode but use the PIO one: Samsung HD32 1KJ. In order to increase system performance it is recommended to change mode to DMA."

ANy help in changing the mode to DMA would be appreciated!
