Question BIOS settings lost on AC power loss.

    ASROCK P67 EXTREME6/A/ASR
    BIOS version P1.80

BIOS settings are saved between reboots but when AC power is lost the settings are back to default upon restart.

    Any ideas?

Check your user manual and I think that you'll find an option to save (and load) one or more bios profiles.
You might be able to re-load your previous bios settings if there is an option to "load last known good settings".
It's possible, but not likely that the motherboard cmos battery has low voltage.

This machine runs unattended a lot of the time.
It is set to start up on power up by the BIOS.
It is set to start up at specific times by the BIOS.
Yesterday we had a power outage and the UPS signaled a hibernate.
When the power returned the Machine did not start up.
It did not start up at the specified time either.
When I manually started it the BIOS settings had been reset.
Loading pre saved profiles is not an option because I am not always here.

This is a new (less than 1 month ... ordered on 11/28/2011 from NEWEGG) product.
The cmos battery should not be a problem.

If you save your bios profile, this might prevent a problem in the future if there is a power outage.
See if you have an option to load the last known good bios settings now so that you don't have to re-enter the settings.
Once you have saved your desired bios settings as a saved bios profile perform a simulated power failure by unplugging your UPS from the wall socket and let the UPS put your system into hibernation. Then plug in the UPS and see if the correct bios settings were applied.

It's possible that this problem is caused by resuming from hibernation only and has nothing to do with your UPS.
Send a PM to ASRock TSD - Emily and include a link to this thread. They might need to duplicate a power outage and/or resuming from hibernation on one of their test systems to verify if this problem is repeatable. Loosing your bios settings might need to be fixed in a future bios release.

"If you save your bios profile"
The only thing I can save is overclocking settings.
I tried saving them but when I used the power supply switch to power off then back on the settings were not saved.

This has nothing to do with the Hibernation or the USP. Sorry, I gave too much information.

"Send a PM to ASRock TSD - Emily" pardon my "nube ness" but how do I do this?

Your CMOS battery sounds suspect as that essentially retains/holds your BIOS/UEFI settings in your CMOS chip. Try replacing the CMOS battery 1rst. If that does not solve your problem then the next suspect is your CMOS eprom (chip)

Copy the link to this thread from the address bar in your browser.

Click on Settings in the upper right corner of most forum web pages.
In the My Messages box on the left, click on Send New Message.
Type ASRock TSD - Emily in the Recipient Users box.
Fill in the PM title box.
Type your message and paste the thread's address so that Emily can directly link to your thread.
Press Submit Message when you're done composing your message.

As I suggested previously and as SaphireX repeated, don't ignore your "brand new" motherboard battery.
Even brand new batteries can fail.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a new mobo battery from ASRock ;)
I'm just a moderator, not a battery distributor.
