Default Fatal1ty Gen 3 CPU fixed Voltages

    G'Day All,

1st up Merry Xmas and a great new year to all forum members.

This is my 1st post - stumbled apon these forums looking for Asrock Motherboard support.

    I just upgraded from a Q9650 to 2600k + Fatal1ty Gen 3 motherboard.

I have my 2600k overclocked to a conservative 4.2Ghz. That for now is as far as I will go.

However I am not familiar with all the BIOS settings - lots more serttings than my old socket 775 motherboard.

Right now the voltage swings from 2.251 to 3.661 according to coretemp - what I'm after is say a constant voltage of well, the lowest I can get away with for a 4.2Ghz overclock.

So if anyone has a Gen 3 motherboard would you mind sharing your BIOS settings so I can get a handle on what I need to do.

    Thank you.

Is the voltage you mentioned Vcore or other voltage? For sandy bridge, most ppl. keep Vcore less than 1.35V and some extreme overclockers set it around 1.4-1.5V only with water cooling.
