    Default E5700 and G.Skill 2x4Gb on Asrock G41M-S3

Hi all. Can someone tell me, how to set ram frequency to 1066 or 1333 on this MB? I use E5700 CPU and G.Skill 2x4Gb 1600 PC12800 (F3-12800CL9-4GBXL) Rams and overclocked FSB to 220mhz, all work fine, but RAMs run on 800MHZ not 1333 or 1600. Please help me, i need to use this memories with this motherboard on maximum speed. Thanks in advance.

The E5700 is limited to a fsb of 800MHz and that is the fastest the memory will go.

If you want to overclock your E5700, then you will need a FSB (core clock) of 266 for 1066, or 333 for 1333, or 400 for 1600 memories.

you can probably get 266 fairly easy, but higher will be a lot of work. It works better to buy a CPU that already supports the FSB you want. Conroes do 1033, Wolfdales do 1333, while the extreme editions will usually do 1600. Your best bet, cost wise, is a 1333 FSB and overclock slightly.

You have a pentium and they are restricted to 800MHz.

You can probably pick up a used E6550 off ebay for under $40. Just search "775 1333 MHz"

    Good luck
