    Default ASRock P67 Pro3 B2 issues?

Hi All - purchased one of these before the holiday break and noticed it has the Intel B2 chipset. Must be old stock I guess but so far so good and everything seems to be working fine. Is this something (the B2 chipset) that I should be concerned about or was the problem over-hyped. I came from a skt775 so wasn't aware of the problem until after I upgraded.

rather than go into the old news again..
    the basics are here
Intel® 6 Series Chipset — Chipset circuit design issue identified

I bought a b2 board (with extra non intel sata ports} because I knew a replacement would be coming soon.
I got mine thru the original vendor.

The asrock press release was something like this#
ASRock > News > ASRock Statement on Intel 6 Series Express Chipsets Quality Issue

Obviously the 1 year warranty extension period ran out in June, it doesnt say anything about a time limit for replacement tho.

Unless you got the board for a very cheap price, did you buy it new?
Id get it exchanged rmaaed or whatever unless u dont intend to use sata 2-5 much..or at all. It wouldnt feel right to me anyway to be using something that will probably be ok ,but if it fails ts.
Contact supplier first and if there is no free exchange from themcontact asrock.
Maybe you will get a better than just a replacement same series b3 board for just postage costs, who knows.

Thank you for the feedback - I'll contact ASRock direct as my supplier suddenly (or conveniently) shut up shop over the Christmas period for good. Such is life!!! I read the Intel release and it seems a bit vague as to when or if there is ever going to be a failure with the B2 version chip. I do need to make use of 5 x SATA ports so would prefer to play safe on this if possible.
