Default Asrock Extreme9 Boot Issues - DrDebug error code A2

I just received a new Extreme9 from an RMA (due to a few memory slots not working) and popped in the new board. However, now I get a very strange and very frustrating error during POST : error code A2 IDE Detect. Now, this board has no IDE slots at all in it ... so what is going on?

I have removed all peripherals, SATA connections, etc and just left in the RAM + CPU + GPU. I've also tried cycling the memory through different slots (1-4 not 5-8) without any different result.

In case anyone else has this problem and is frustrated with the almost useless Asrock support, the answer to this one was simple: check the monitor connections on your video card, there likely is a loose one (especially HDMI).
