Default ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Bios problem.

    Hello there,

    I'm running with a SB 2700K on my ASRock Z68 Extreme4

I've been looking around in the bios on my ASRock Z68 Extreme4, and I know that there should be a feature called "Power Saving Mode"
when running a SB, it should be under the "Voltage Control" tab.

My problem is that I don't have this setting in my bios.

I'm running with the updated bios (1.70)

    Any suggestions?

Hi thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, there's no big yellow button as you said.

And I still haven't found any solution to this issue.

    Any other suggestions?

    Nope.

    ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Bios problem.-help-jpg

    I'm missing the highlighted feature.

My CPU keeps downclocking, which means i can't test if my OC is stable. As it drops down while running prime95.

Sorry was actually thinking more in terms of the previous poster and the yellow button.
My bios wouldnt be exactly the same as yours.

What I can tell you is for my own overclocking initailly. my cpu allways dropped speed on testing . This was due to a number of factors including insufficient power allowance etc.

what you need to do is use the ezclock speeds, they wont "throttle back under load".. like pick one higher than standard speed.then go into windows start up axtu and see what voltage and offset voltage is applied.
Then reboot, go back into bios and you will find a lot of the cpu power allowances/voltages etc are labelled as auto still but if you click on them they will show an increased allowance over the intial auto settings.
you can write down the values.

Go thru all the ezclock speeds that the cpu will boot at like 4.0 4.2.4.4 etc and you can make your own written table of the different values the board applies for each setting.

Its time consuming and the values are averaged but you should end up with a lot of values you can try for your own overclock settings.
nb I found it best to start off at default values.. no overclock and see what all the the settings were then .. then start going thru ezclock speeds and see how they changed.

It could be.,just a guess, that the feature is only there when you reset uefi to defaults.(there should be an option in uefi. to answer all questions yes, or something like that)
It might just disappear when you do any overclocking at all. Some of my bios features do, or conversely wont be there unless I set manual overclocking.

That shouldn't be the problem as I had the same problem with the 1.60 bios.

Before I posted here I updated my bios with Instant Flash to 1.70 and that resets all the current settings. So that shouldn't be causing the problem.

    1. on post go into uefi
    2, go to overclock tweaker.

3,on optimised cpu overclock, the very first entry. select default

4.The power saving option will now be visible.

If you select anything other than default, it wont be visible.

    plz respond.
