Default BIOS update for Steam games 890GM Pro3 R2.0

    Hi All,

Have this board with the 8150 FX processor. The issue is a well documented one with Steam games, namely Duke Nukem Forever, DuesEx Human Revolution, and others.

Essentially games freeze up and BSOD with "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval".

A BIOS update has corrected this issue on other ASROCK boards, so why not this one? Currently running 1.43 beta, as 1.50 is not stable with my set up.

AMD Bulldozer + DeusEx : HR = BSOD - A clock interrupt was not received - Eidos Forums

STEAM enabled games on AMD FX platforms

Hoping that Asrock are listening. This is a great board otherwise, my first ASROCK after many, many ASUS. Sick of monster cases on, or under, the desk, so this is the second microATX build.

Beta BIOS L1.55 (ASRock > 890GM Pro3 R2.0) FIX this problem, try it.

Thanks, I will. I need a power supply to get a second PC up to do it, but once I do I'll check steam out and then replace my main PC's board if it's fixed.

Then what will Asrock do with this board for the new FX 9000 processors?
