o.O unplugging the usb flash drive that i used to take the screenshots made the 0d error code go away, and I am able to post again. although, not certain about my other cold boot issue.

are you plugging it into usb3 or usb2 ports? if usb3 it might cause issues on certain usb components,as for freezing you can still go upto 1.2v max for vtt,i would ty 1.10v and see if things improve,

I may have been placing it in a 3.0 slot. Tomorrow on its next cold boot I will see what happens. On the cold boot after the battery being out I did not receive my 09c bsod / machine check error. Maybe the bios was just being buggy? *fingers crossed* If not I will up the VTT further.

Well, I was good for a few cold boots (2). I decided today that I was going to reinstall windows so, I dropped in the disk and began to boot from CD. While the CD was loading windows I received my 09c bsod / machine check error . I suppose at this point I will up my VTT, although I am not convinced that that is the problem. Any thoughts / recommendation would be much appreciated. I'm at somewhat of a loss.

After upping the VTT to 1.10 I tried rebooting and booting windows from the cd again. Once again after the files finished unpacking and windows began to load I received the 09c machine check error.

    Preface:
I have overclocked my cpu from 3.3ghz to 4.5ghz. To check stability I ran a 24 hr custom prime 95 blend with 96% of my ram used. I passed this with no problem. I then did 20 passes of linx; passed with no problems. I then did 10 passes IBT with 90% ram used; no problems. This lead me to believe my overclock should be 100% stable.

    Back to the problem:
I thought I would try to narrow it down and see which piece of hardware might be at fault/ if an overclock was causing a piece to fail. I did the following:
    1) I dropped the memory settings to below its XMP profile, down to 1600. Tried to boot from CD, bsod 09c machine check error.
    2) I turned the memory xmp settings back on, back to 1866. I dropped all cpu overclocks/voltages back to stock. Tried to boot from cd. NO bsod.

Is it safe to make the assumption that my CPU has rapidly degraded/ has been damaged? If so why am I able to still run Prime 95 and not have workers fail / bsod?

your chip isnt damaged, where are you plugging in your ssd's? intel sata3 ports? tried downloading your bios screenshots it wouldnt download? best upload to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting and copy/paste the forum/im url here

could be crashing when its light loading the cpu not fully loading hence why its passing all stress tests ect

    On the 4th panel

I would try +0.025V for offset. If the cpu is goodish you chould be able to drop llc to 5 if that tests ok

    Q. Do you have the spread spectrum disabled to hold 100 bclck?. I mean does it drop to 99.8 with it enabled?
You might be able to do 100.1 or 100.2 at 4.5 that speed should hold even with ss running.

PLL looks a litle low,is that some setting you applied yourself?
    Perhaps more like 1.83

    The ramV try 1.55

I wouldnt try em all together , just one at a time.

Machine check for me is usually insufficient juice for my overclock.

Im a bit lazy to go doin more bios screenshots tho I do have a few stored heres the lazy ss of axtu :)
dont worry bout my offset thas for 4.8.
