    Default 970 Extreme3 2nd CPU fan socket question

    970 Extreme3 is in the mail right now i cannot wait. I was checking out the pictures and noticed there is 2 cpu fan sockets one is a three pin. Can i use my case fans in that slot? thank you for any help

    I dont see why not a fan header is a fan hearer. They just label them so when you look in software to see the speed the fan is rotating at you know what fan you plugged into what header.

    ASrock looks like they were nice to give you 2 cpu fan header as some cpu coolers recommend using 2 fans, one on each side of the cooler. So they give you cpu fan headers.
