Hi there,

I recently purchased an Asrock 990FX Extreme 3 motherboard, with an AMD FX 6100 processor and 8GB of Corsair XMS 3. I have noticed the temperature of the North bridge heat sink is incredibly hot, burning my fingers. Unfortunately I have no way of checking the actual temperature of the north bridge, however it must be 50+ degrees centigrade from an output i viewed in AMD Overdrive, however I'm not sure if this is the NB temperature. I do not know if this is normal, but I have never experienced anything like it before in ten years of building systems. Can anyone shed any light on this issue, is this normal? If not what are my options.

Regards
