How do you know if the Intel ME firmware gets updated properly?

Is there a way to confirm this?

It is a process similar to UEFI updating.
If that process was started it always ends with 100% success.

I ran my Z68 Pr03-M 2.10 bios update from a FAT partition on my HDD. The bios update completed successfully and on reboot I didn't see any mention of the ME F/W update nor the 100% success remark. I am still using a i7 2600K cpu.
Is there a way that I can check if the ME F/W has been updated or not?

This is why you should perform UEFI update from USB pendrive.

Tried it with USB pendrive and makes no difference.

It's true! Actually I'm an experienced PC user with many years behind me - contrary to what the forum states "Junior Member".
I'm a bit old in the tooth to be classed as a Junior I think! However, I have never experienced such unusual issues with bios updates in the past.
Asrock seem to be creating more problems than they are solving at present leading to a lot of disatisfaction amongst users.
If they don't start getting it right again, and very soon, users will start looking for products proved to be more reliable.
Just my view, but I suspect many others are starting to think the same.

I'm already looking to replace my Extreme7 Gen3 with another brand name due to the "beta" quality BIOS produced to run my I7-3770K Ivy Bridge CPU on this motherboard. I'll give it one more month and then ASRock will have lost me as a customer forever if this isn't properly fixed. I'll then be asking for my money back from Newegg due to the false advetising by ASRock "22nm CPU Ready" back in October 2011 when I bought it.

I updated from previous release bios (1.30 if I recall correctly) to 2.10 on my Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 without any issues whatsoever, by adhering to the installation instructions on the Asrock download site to the letter.

I think a lot of issues are due to users not getting the procedure right. This may to some extent be caused by Asrock using too small red type to point out the caveats ... :D

I can't help feeling sorry for those who screwed up their system, hope Asrock will support them well.

Actually the reference in this thread isn't correct. On the website it gives you a link to BIOS flash instructions which makes no mention of the Intel ME flash and need to keep the USB key in the PC.

I've looked at Extreme3 Gen3 and Extreme7 Gen3 and don't see that reference on the motherboard download links anywhere. If you're finding it somewhere else great, but no wonder people are frustrated, it's not on the specific download's instructions.
