    It's got the same ASMedia controller like the ASRock. Who makes the ASMedia controller? ASRock? Asus? someone else?

    Well a quick search shows Asus as the ASMedia controller maker. I'd also saw referenced that ASRock used to be the cheap line of Asus but are now supposed to be their own company.

    I don't know, but either way, I've got two from each company and both have been flawless (except for that SaberT that arrived with a bent pin). The E8400 is in a P5Q and I have the A55M-HVS that has the A8-3870K in it. Currently going to use that AMD and setup a Windows home server 2011 (newegg had it for 30 bucks so I thought what the heck...)
