    Default Z77 Extreme4 Bios 1.90

There's a new Bios 1.90 as of 7-12-12 for this board, anyone tried it yet? If you have, what video card are you running? Are you overclocking and at what GHz have you over clocked too?

I flashed to UEFI 1.90 last night, because I wanted the new Intel IRST OROM that it contains. It's been fine for me so far, haven't noticed anything wrong. As usual, the flash will clear any UEFI profiles you have saved, so if you can save them another way, do so before flashing.

Sorry, not a gamer, can't comment on how 1.90 works with high end cards, I just use a GTS 450...

    Running 1.90 a few days w/ no issues on a HD7850.

    @parsec
What version is the IRST OROM w/ P 1.90?
Didn't know how to determine it.
    I'm running Win8 RP with a Vertex4 with just the 11.2.0.1106 F6 install drivers.

    FYI
    Bios P 2.0 is out:
    1. Update VBIOS.
    2. Update RAID ROM.
    3. Add "No-K OC" function.

P 1.90 was removed it looks like.

Wow, they've been removing BIOS from the download site, kinda says they don't test this stuff before release much. First 1.70 and now 1.90.

Oh great, 1.70 and 1.90 removed, yet those are the two I have used besides my boards original 1.20. They all seemed fine to me, but since video card compatibility seems to be one of their main issues, and I'm not a gamer (I just put a GT 240 in my Z77 Ex 4 PC! Hey, works better than the Intel 4000 graphics...) so I'm not noticing any problems. Who knows what else is wrong.

kpo6969, the new Intel OROM in 1.90 is 11.2.0.1527. The only way to check the version I know of is by running it during POST. You must be in RAID mode to be able to run it, otherwise it will not appear.

During POST, the Intel RAID configuration screen will appear when in RAID mode, and you must quickly press Ctrl I so the PC won't continue to POST, and stay on that screen/UI. The OROM version is displayed at the top of the UI screen.

Will that work in ACHI mode, I don't use RAID?

I assume you mean the OROM UI? That only works in RAID mode, as I said above. Or are you asking something else?

You can run the Windows IRST UI in AHCI mode, but just check the status of the drives with it. No listing of the OROM version there. You can check the IRST driver version, by clicking the Help button in the IRST Windows UI, and then the About button in the Help screen.
