    Default z77 extreme4 - led error code 64

    As rock Tech, I'm getting error 64 in motherboard LED...right now it stuck at as rock logo in the screen..need expertise to help me with this.. thank you!

    Error 64, from the boards manual, is: CPU DXE initialization (CPU module specific).

    Since you've provided zero information about the rest of your PC, not even the CPU you are using, almost zero to go on.

    Some of the usual things are a bad/bent contact in the CPU socket, a bad mounting of the CPU cooler (which one?) or even inadequate power to the CPU (eight pin CPU power cable connected to the board?)

    To anyone who wants to know how to fix this: I had my CPU cooler screwed on too tight. I unscrewed each screw on my cooler by about 1/2 turn, then booted again--worked first time.

    Hope this helps someone! Boot errors suck.
